Jesus in Islam
In Islam, Jesus is acknowledged as being born to a virgin mother mirroring the Christian belief.
However in Islam Jesus was just another prophet on the block, so it makes absolutely no sense that He was born to a virgin.
This miracle also failed to prove anything because any women can claim to be a virgin. There was no means to prove and support her claim of virginity.
The concept of a virgin mother in Islam served no apparent purpose. While in Christianity, Jesus’ virgin birth is significant as He is regarded as the son of God, sent to save humanity and reconcile us to our heavenly Father. To prove his Godliness Jesus also performed numerous miracles and healings, that were witnessed by many.
Jesus did many miracles in Islam too. The Quran even portrays Jesus as having the power to create life via a bird, suggesting a Godly aspect to his character. As in the Quran verse 5:110, Jesus crafted a bird from clay and gave it life, so according to Islam, there are birds currently soaring in the sky that were initially created by Jesus.
In Quran verse 3:49, Jesus even knew what people kept in their houses and isn’t that something only God would know? So according to the Quran, Jesus outshone all other prophets including Muhammad, with His astonishing number of miracles!
Moreover, Islam teaches that Jesus did not experience death but was taken up to heaven alive, with a return ticket for the last day. In Islam, Jesus had way more power than any other prophet.
In Islam Jesus is anticipated to make a triumphant comeback in the final days, while Muhammad and Allah will not return. Islam couldn’t even imagine up a world without Jesus’s mighty powers.
Good news: Jesus is the True Lord! 🥰
The True Lord calls you ‘His child’, as opposed to Allah who calls you ‘his slave’.
Jesus is the perfect definition of love. The Bible is the true love story where the Hero chooses to die for you.
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Matthew 18:12
What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them gets lost, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountain and go in search of the one that is lost? Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
That’s Jesus—He would leave the ninety-nine to find the ‘one’ you!
